Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC) at Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry is organizing its 3rd Arbitration Dialogue entitled “Meet DIAC and its Executive Committee” on the sidelines of the International Bar Association’s 13th IBA Arbitration Day in London on March 4, 2010.

Being organized internationally for the first time at the Hyatt Regency London’s The Churchill Hotel, the purpose of the open dialogue is to provide a fitting platform for Dubai arbitrators to exchange views and experiences with their international counterparts and DIAC’s associate and Executive Committee Members.

The panel of speakers includes Dr Habib Al Mulla, Vice-Chairman DIAC Board of Trustees and Essam Tamimi, member, DIAC Board of Trustees and Dr Nael Bunni, Chairman, Executive Committee and two other Executive Committee members Michael Schneider and Dr. Tarek Riad, who will discuss a range of important topics relating to commercial arbitration and neutrality, notably transparency and fairness in the arbitration, and cost issues related to arbitration cases.

The DIAC has been expanding in the last 5 years as it registered 100 cases in 2008 while the number of cased registered in 2009 increased to 292 and the Center is expecting the numbers to go up in 2010.

Playing its role of a pioneer in arbitration in the region, the Center organized its first two open dialogues in Dubai last year and is now going global as part of the Chamber’s strategic objective of promoting Dubai as an international business hub .
